Procedure

Round 1: (K1, Sl wyif) around. Round 2: (Sl wyib, P1) around. Repeat Rounds 1-2 to the desired length. Break the yarn, leaving a long tail, and thread it onto a tapestry needle. Carefully pull out the knitting needles. The stitches will separate, with the knit stitches falling to the front and the purl stitches falling to the back.

Place the knit stitches on one knitting needle and purl stitches on another. Weave the stitches loosely together using kitchener stitch.
