About
The Chinese Waitress Bind Off creates a decorative edge with a two-stitch cording. It is a bind off that has a little stretch and is good for shawls and other edges that need some leniency.
Procedure
- Eastern purl the next stitch.
- Yarnover (YO).
- Eastern purl the next stitch. There will be three stitches on the right needle.
- Pass the middle stitch over the stitch closest to the needle tip and off from the right needle. Two stitches remain on the right needle.
- Pass the second stitch over the stitch closest to the needle tip and off from the right needle. One stitch remains on the right needle.
- Repeat steps 2-4 until all stitches are bound off.
- Break yarn and pull through to fasten off the last stitch.
