About
The 1 Over 1 Left Purl Cross is a two-stitch cable where the knit stitch passes over the purl stitch upwards and to the left.
Procedure
Western Method
With A Cable Needle
- Slip one stitch purlwise to the cable needle.
- Hold the cable needle to the front of the work.
- Purl the next stitch on the left needle.
- Knit the stitch held on the cable needle.

With No Cable Needle
- Slip one stitch purlwise to the right needle.
- Purl the next stitch.
- Move the working yarn to the back of the work.
- Insert the left needle from front to back through the front of the second stitch on the right needle.
- Slip the second stitch off from the right needle and onto the left needle, allowing the first stitch to drop off the right needle.
- Slip the first stitch that was dropped back onto the right needle.
- Knit the stitch held on the left needle.
